The OutDoor in Friedrichshafen is celebrating its birthday – and you are invited! To mark its 25th anniversary, the industry’s leading trade fair is staging a comprehensive and exciting program for both trade visitors and end consumers.
“Outdoor” is a broad term that covers a wide range of activities – but it’s not necessarily about top-class performance, state-of-the-art equipment and spectacular action: Nature is there for everybody, and it offers each of us exactly what we need. The essence of successful outdoor activity is being outdoors, enjoying special moments, and having fun. And because that means something different for everybody, “OutDoor for all” covers a huge variety of options.
The highlight anniversary event has to be the OutDoor Midsummer Festival, which will be celebrated on June 16–17 on the lakeside promenade in Friedrichshafen. Apart from athletic activities such as the slacklining contest and stand-up paddling, there will also be exciting talks on the program – for example by a travel blogger, and the operators of a boulder bus in Africa. On Saturday, visitors will be able to see the latest “EOFT – European Outdoor Film” on the big screen and the “Ocean Film Tour” will be shown on Sunday.
Climbing sport fans will have a chance to watch the professionals at the German Bouldering Championship – and will also be able to get active themselves. The country’s best boulderers will be facing off against each other in Hall 5 of the exhibition center on June 16–17.
On June 16, OutDoor 2018 will be heading off into nature on a Microadventure: Anybody aged 18 and over with a great taste for adventure can apply to participate.
Come along and celebrate OutDoor’s anniversary in Friedrichshafen, take part in the many activities, and enjoy the OutDoor spirit! Whether you are an amateur or professional athlete, a nature or film lover, and whatever your age – you can be sure of a warm welcome!
