Not all products are created equal, though at the same time, not all consumers want to climb to the top of mountains. How, as a retailer, do you sell a brand that doesn’t explicitly focus on the technical merits of its product like many core outdoor brands are used to doing? How might hosting or attending events help demonstrate the value of these products to customers who are used to looking at technical specifications, or to customers who could care less about technical specifications so long as they have a good time? How might merchandising and in-store display play into the storytelling?
